    Due to Catherine being the eldest child to Patricia Featherstone, her mother wanted to raise Catherine in a way that she would represent their pureblood name to the fullest. It seemed that no matter how hard she tried, or what Catherine did, her mother never seemed to be satisfied. Catherine began to get a little more defensive after this, feeling she always had to prove herself, to show she was the best. This is what often leads to conflicts with other students or getting into trouble.

     To her, it feels like everyone is out to show just how weak and insecure she really is. To stop this from happening, Catherine feels she must protect herself by pushing others away by using sarcasm and constantly acting above others. This mostly shows when others are criticizing her or trying to tell her something she doesn’t want to hear.  She tends to have a very short temper when others talk down to her, my best advice would to just let her blow all her steam, once that is done she should calm down considerably and become more reasonable.

    She is very enthusiastic about learning, and showing others just what she is capable of to hide what she is incapable of. She may not act like it, but she is more observant then she lets on, and actually cares what people say or think about her. Many people wonder why she’s a Gryffindor when she would seem to make a much better Slytherin. The reason for this is because even though Catherine may seem cold and distant at first. She is very protective and loyal of her friends. All she wants is the approval of others, but she’s going about it the wrong way.
   
    She tends to keep an emotional distance between everyone, she does have friends, but tends to keep her real feelings to herself. Normally bottling things up, she thinks she can solve all her problems on her own which can lead to stress causing her to act sarcastic and rude without intentionally meaning to. She builds an emotional wall around herself and pushes people away, not wanting them to see just how stressed and insecure she really is. Catherine has trouble expressing herself at times and is rarely ever extremely open with people about how she really feels (her brother and aunt are really the only people she trusts).

Being known extremely well for her sarcastic, blunt personality and short temper, a lot of the things Catherine says she doesn't actually mean. A lot of the teasing she does is meant to be playful even though it ends up sometimes hurting others feelings. She likes her personal space and prefers to be left alone most of the time. She's not the huggy type. Depending on the type of mood she's in she can either be friendly or having on of her grumpy sessions. Please be patient with her, it takes her a bit of time before she actually warms up to someone.

BACKGROUND

As a young child, Catherine was always the centre of attention when it came to her parents, her mother often doting on her and teaching her how to be what her definition of ‘perfect’ was. She was full of energy, running around the house and finding things to do with her time, despite the fact she liked to run around and have fun she also enjoyed reading and painting, finding it calming being able to emerge yourself into different worlds, creating things that didn’t exist. She had a broad imagination. She was a very obedient child much to her mothers pleasure, doing what was asked of her without hesitation.

                The years went by and Catherine was slowly turning into a young lady, being the quiet, reserved, and polite child her mother had wanted. At least in front of her mother, when Patricia was away or working Catherine would often occupy herself with playing pranks or getting scrapes and bruises from playing outside. She was very much a tomboy and her father encouraged this. She was very much a ‘daddy’s girl.’

    At the age of 6 it is brought to Catherine’s attention that she is going to have a baby brother. She of course does not like the idea of this at all. Boys are gross and have cooties and ick. Also, she wasn’t fond of the idea that her parents wouldn’t have any time for her anymore, since babies are a huge responsibility.

    Now having a little brother, just as she had suspected, her parents pay not much mind to her anymore. She does not like this at all, and despite multiple attempts to get them to notice her, she always seemed to be pushed aside, especially by her mother, who was happy to have a son. During this time Catherine grows more independent, not wanting anyone’s help, and can be a bit bratty at times. She isn’t fond of her little brother either. He screams all the time and is really annoying and wants him gone as soon as possible.

    At ages 8-10, her parents seem to be less occupied with her little brother, as they seem to have dumped little 4 year old Connor on her. She at first hates this, finding him useless and smelly like any sibling would. She often tried to leave him behind and go off on her own when playing outside, but no matter how fast she would run, or how many hours he was behind her, he always followed her around like a puppy. Catherine even tried to sell him to the neighbours once for 5 galleons!  Sadly for her it didn’t work and she got quite the lecture from her mother. After multiple times of trying to dump him she finally gives up, letting him stay with her. She later ended up taking him everywhere she went, becoming very protective and caring of him. No one messed with her little bro until they went through her.

    It seemed that all of the bratty, grumpiness between the two siblings found its way into Catherine, because Connor is probably one of the nicest, patience guys you’d ever meet, while Cathy on the other hand was well, you know. With her short fuse Catherine would often get into fights with her mother, and Connor was the only one who could calm her down. He would often tell her when she was being rude or sarcastic, telling her when to calm down before her anger got out of hand. He brought out the best in her, and despite being complete opposites; they were closer than any two siblings could be.

    At age 11 like any other magical child, she is invited to join the wizarding world and attend school, except Catherine receives two letters as opposed to one. The reason for this is because her father, when he was younger, attended Hogwarts in England, and her mother attended a Magic school in Canada. Catherine, starting to get fed up with her mother, decided that she would rather go to Hogwarts, simply because her mother wanted to go to school in Canada. She hated the fact she was leaving her brother behind, but promised to write to him frequently, and she kept her promise.

    FIRST YEAR

    First year of Hogwarts, Catherine is having no trouble adjusting to her new school in England, just travelling by floo powder to get back home on breaks and holidays. Catherine her first year is quite outgoing and, actually friendly, and is enjoying learning new spells, now finally having a wand. Catherine tends to make a few rather rude remarks though regarding others blood status. Her mother had always looked down on those of ‘lesser’ blood lines and this rubbed off on Catherine, causing her to discriminate against others who weren’t pure blood, calling them slow or stupid, she especially didn’t say many nice things about muggles either. Of course Catherine’s opinion on blood status was more her mother’s then anything since Catherine was too young and naive to really have an opinion of her own. She made a few friends this year, but mainly focused on her studies and school work, wanting to please her mother.

    SECOND YEAR

    The First year goes by rather quickly and the next thing Cathy knows it’s year number two! This year held quite a bit of excitement for her, but not the good time. She managed to get into a little scuffle between her and a few other students for a rude remark she made. To teach her a lesson the students hexed her in the middle of class and she began to barf slugs. It was a good day. To get back at the students she took the slugs she had vomited and squished them between the pages of their text books. Of course they weren’t happy with this so what these students did was they gathered all the spiders they could find into a jar and released them, using oppugno to make them attack her. After this Catherine draws into herself. She is more anti-social than ever now and just wants people to leave her alone.

    THIRD YEAR

    After the excitement of last year Catherine prefers to be left alone. She just wants to study and read.  She tends to keep to herself and acts quite hostile and sarcastic, pushing others away. She’s reluctant to work with others and would rather do things on her own. She still has those few friends, but no one really close.

    FOURTH YEAR

    Nothing really happens this year. Catherine has been writing to her brother more frequently now as she tends to only talk to him when something is bothering her. To her disdain he is quite honest and for lack of a better term calls her a bitch and says she can’t keep acting like a brat. Despite the fact she knows this to be true she doesn’t like to hear it, though she listens to her brother and decides to give the magic of friendship one last try.

    FIFTH YEAR

    Well, we’re now at Catherine’s current year at Hogwarts, deciding to take her brothers advice she begins to talk to people again, though making friends is a little harder then she had anticipated. She’s still slightly anti-social and likes her space, but she’s happy to be talking to people again. The problem though is that she’s a little socially awkward and can still be sarcastic and rude, even when she doesn’t mean it. She’s trying, but even still she has her short temper to keep an eye on. It won’t be easy, but she’s determined to make at least one person not hate her, even if it’s just an almost hate.

Personality: friendly, loving, loyal, playful, where ever Catherine is if you don't see Pearl on her shoulder then she's either in her bag or not very far behind. Catherine has trained her to fetch things for her such as pens, paper, envelops, though this isn’t exactly the best method because Pearl tends to chew holes in these things. She’s a good loyal companion and Catherine is extremely attached to her.

EXTRAS

- her bag was charmed by her aunt to hold more then physically possible. Catherine likes to be prepared for anything so there is hardly ever an occasion she isn't prepared for.

- Between the summer of her fourth and fifth year her mother kicked her out of the house. Catherine is now living full time with her aunt in England.

- She's been sending letters to her brother, but she isn't getting any in return, Catherine thinks this is because of her mother wanting to cut her off from the family, but isn't sure.

- Despite the fact she can be rather rude and fights with a lot of people, she hates actual physical violence, in fact she disapproves of it, making her somewhat of a pacifist, if things do come down to violence though, she will not hesitate to teach that person a lesson

- She owns a Firebolt broomstick which she is very attached to and uses for quidditch games and practices as well as tricks, she has had this broom for a while now and will probably be needing one soon.

- Is extremely reluctant to ask or receive help from others, believing that if you can't do something on your own then you should be doing it. This can end up becoming a problem for her because no matter how hard she says she doesn't, sometimes she does need help, she's too stubborn to ask for it though.

- One day hopes to become an animagus, though of course this will not happen for a while now, also aims to be able to apparate

Catherine's roommate, they seem to get along pretty well, they occasionally tease each other but it's all in good humor. The deadly rivalry is on both sides when it comes to flying. Cathy actually enjoys Izzy's company, though she is a little upset at Izzy for getting her into trouble.

Jody Bech// acquaintance
Her hella cool partner in crime solving! Catherine doesn't actually know her that well to be honest. She's had a few conversations with the girl normally regarding the Valentine's day event and who the trouble maker could be. Surprisingly Catherine doesn't mind being around Jody. Jody's never ending stream of questions for Catherine can get a little annoying for her though, but she puts up with them. 

Tristan Llewellyn// rival, acquaintance
Their relationship is a little funny. Catherine doesn't hate Tristan, she hates his cat though. Stupid thing always going around... doing cat...things. She regards him as a bit of a dueling rival. Despite his grumpy rudeness she doesn't mind him, she can get a little agitated from time to time by him though. 

Talbot Nemes// close friend, sort of crush 
Oh wow, this is surprising, someone who can put up with Catherine's shit. She's surprised at how tolerant he is of her sarcasm and rude remarks, she can be a little mean to him from time to time but she doesn't mean it. She enjoys being around him and considers him someone she can talk to when something's bothering her.

Torence Vitaliy// love hate? I honestly don't know
Oh boy, does she love to push his buttons. She enjoys seeing how angry she can get him without getting into too much trouble. She enjoys teasing him in good humor and getting him to freak out. Of course when the guy feinted and made her think she killed him almost gave herself a heart attack. Despite the way she acts she enjoys being around him and finds him funny, hopefully they become friends, though it's kind of hard when she keeps getting under his skin.

Keely Webb// acquaintance, friend
God is this chick full of energy! Catherine finds her amusing even though the girls somewhat childish behavior sees her a bit as a little sister. An annoying, loud, sleep disturbing sister. Even though Catherine doesn't know the girl that well she actually likes her, of course Catherine would never tell anyone that she actually likes them. Gotta hate everyone, bro.

Chase Abendroth// friend
She finds him too timid to be honest and tries to make him come out of that shy little world of his, though of course this can end up making him recede further into his shyness. She enjoys joking with him and considers him another close friend even though they never really hand out. They've already made a deal that all the guys from her 'man harlem' she's willing to give up she'll throw his way ;D

Xavier Veneti// mega best friend
It's not even funny how much she loves this boy. Despite the fact he's a bloody prefect Catherine feels very close to Xavier, and is extremely protective of him, not letting anyone tease or hurt him while she's around. She almost takes the role of big sister looking after dorky, adorable little brother except for the fact he's older. It's amusing how the rule keeper is looked after by the rule breaker.

Michaelis D. Wright// big brother onii-chan
Catherine legitimately respects him. Which is pretty impressive since her respect isn't something she hands out easily. She finds him funny, kind, and most of all, intellegent. She enjoys being around him and goofing off. The both seem to like each other as they seem to like similar things such as the Care of Magical Creatures and Lord Squid, Ku!chll!uqw/"/xc!up. She enjoys listening to all the things he knows about and kind of wants him as a tutor, but she wouldn't want to bother him by asking.

Hufflepuff

Emerson Powell// frenemy 
Their relationship had a bit of a rocky start and the often would often express their dislike for each other while trying to be as friendly as possible. After a little shout fest between the two of them Catherine got a few things that were bothering her off her chest. Their relationship has improved a bit since then and they're starting to get along better. Kind of like a brother and sister. Still, Isabelle is really the glue that's keeping them together. Hopefully their relationship will keep improving.

Tristan Prescott// friend
The two of them seem to get along pretty well, often flirting with each other in a joking manner. Catherine likes hanging out with him and likes his super long scarf that she thinks is hella cool. 

Sai Valentine// close friend
The bees knees and the cats pajamas in Catherine's opinion. She enjoys the girls bubbly and kind personality and enjoys hanging out with her. She's willing to help her out in anyway she can, even if it means she has to be around that dumb cat of hers that she found.

Jazmyn Faelfa// acquaintance
She only hung out with him for a day, but over all he seemed like a pretty cool guy, timid and quiet. He was pretty friendly and the both of them seem to share a love for books. Hopefully they can lend books to one another like  the book dorks they are.

Dimitri Leshchyov// asshat, enemy, babysitter
The two don't get along at all and the both want nothing to do with eachother. She's quite upset at him for getting her in trouble and will do anything in her power to spite him. Of course she understands he's a prefect and he has to do his job, but could he at least do it in a way that she doesn't get in trouble? Their relationship isn't exactly the best right now, hopefully once they get to know each other a little better things will improve. 

Carrie Smithons// pant ruiner, acquaintance
She doesn't know this girl very well as they really only talked briefly after Carrie got mud on Catherine's pants which resulted in Catherine having to wear her kilt for a day while her pants were washed. Although this irritated Catherine it didn't bug her enough to cause the relationship to go sour. Hopefully they'll get to know each other a little  better in the future. They both seem to share an interest in flying so that's a good start.
